Dr. Jodie Quigg, Clinical Psychologist, Integrative & EMDR Psychotherapist
I am a Clinical Psychologist and have worked therapeutically with children, young people and adults across the NHS, Schools and Forensic settings, for over 25 years.
Passionate that change is always possible, I work closely with individuals and families, empowering them to live healthy and fulfilling lives, in line with their personal values.
I specialise in working with children, young people and adults that have experienced trauma and distressing events. Integrating a range of psychological therapies, I draw upon EMDR, cognitive-behavioural therapy, person-centred counselling, compassion-focussed therapy, and psychodynamic principles among others.
EMDR (eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) aims to help a person to re-process memories that are causing them distress or holding them back in life, so they can move on with their lives in a healthier way. I also specialise in neuro-diversity. While supporting children, young people and adults to manage the struggles that come with their autism, adhd or dyslexia, I am equally passionate about finding their superpowers. Warm, caring and curious, I believe connection is key for change to happen and I feel privileged to share each person’s healing journey.
I provide both online and face-to-face sessions in Kendal.
