Bex Goslin, Qualified Psychotherapist, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Coach, Reiki

I’m Bex . I have over 15 years experience working with teenagers and young adults.  I worked in post 16 education, delivering personal development courses and life skills and I have 10+ years working and training in NHS mental health services, with 7 of those years working in the local CAMHS community team as a registered mental health nurse.

I am a certified coach and mentor and a qualified and accredited therapist specialising in interpersonal psychotherapy for teenagers and young adults aged 13- 25.

IPT-A (Interpersonal therapy for adolescents) is an evidence-based talking therapy, recommended by NICE for the treatment of depression and low mood. A structured programme with a minimum of 12 sessions designed to help young adults explore their own experience of low mood and the impact of depressive symptoms on their lives.

I help clients who may be struggling with mood, worry, poor sleep, relationship issues, school difficulties, grief, and loss. Supporting them to recognise their feelings and emotions in relation to personal events and experiences, and exploring how to improve communication, problem-solving skills and social functioning. I combine all my skills and experience to deliver bespoke packages depending on individual needs. I can provide flexible sessions, outside of usual office working hours, outside of usual offices…..outside if needed. I also offer online therapy.

Testimonials

“I just wanted to write to say thank you for everything you have done for Josh over the last few months.  I have no idea what you have talked about during his sessions but at the end of every session he has been happier, seemed less weighed down and has talked about how useful it has been.

He is like a different person since he started his sessions and we really feel like we have got the old Josh back.  Friends and family have noticed a big difference in him too and have commented on how much happier he seems.  He says himself that he doesn’t know how he could have got through the last few months without you and has talked about how much the sessions have helped (even though all you did was chat!)  He recognises that you didn’t give him all of the answers he was looking for and that your questions etc helped him to think things through for himself and has commented on how much this will help him in the future.  He is reassured by knowing that he can have follow up sessions with you in the future if he needs to.

I can’t say how grateful we are to you – it is such a relief to us to know that you have been able to help him so much”.
